Vivo iQOO 5 Tipped to Launch in India With 120W Fast Charging

The Chines tech giants have developed a 120W Fast Charging mechanism for Smartphone devices. There are officially two companies that having a 100+ Watt charging mechanism in their mobile devices. Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra and Vivo iQOO 5 are the two that leveraging futuristic technology inside them. Meanwhile iQOO 5 is launching outside China while the Mi 10 Ultra is not going out of the country. Earlier, the company had announced the launching will take place on August 17, 2020. Meanwhile in India, the iQOO official social media handle has tipped a new smartphone that could launch in the country. The new smartphone from iQOO is being speculated to be the iQOO 5 which is set to launch on August 17. This gave us a hint that the company launching the phone in India alongside China.

Vivo iQOO 5 Expected Features and Specs

The phone already gets through various certification authorities. Each certification authority had revealed some of its features. Alongside that, the rumors are surrounding as the launch is near. According to these rumors and leaks compiled, we have almost everything we need to about the phone. Upfront, the device is built around a 6.44″ inch display panel borrowed from Samsung. Further, it has 120Hz refresh rates alongside the 240Hz touch sampling rates for smooth scrolling. The optics have not revealed yet but it sports a module of triple camera sensors. The Pro version of the device contains a periscope lens – In the standard version, we could expect a telephoto lens instead of the periscope.

Under the hood, we have an octa-core processor from Qualcomm Snapdragon 865. Many of us believed that it might be a typo – It should be the plus edition of the SoC. I believe to lower the price of the phone, iQOO opted for a non-plus edition of the SoC. Earlier, we have witnessed Nubia Red Magic 5S achieved a significant performance boost by just implementing a better thermal system. Since the phone having 120W fast charging support to fill 4000mAh battery it must have a better thermal solution. As the 120W charging could generate lots of heat – To protect the device it must have a proper cooling system inside.
