HTC seems to have vanished from the global smartphone market. The company trying harder to get back in the business. Thus the HTC Wildfire E2 goes on sale without having a formal announcement. That shows how desperate they are, it might be for pulling up stocks to get in the track. However, the availability is limited to a single market as of now. There are words regards global availability. This comes under the entry-level segment and hence, it could face tough competition against the leading players like Realme and Xiaomi.
HTC Wildfire E2 Features and Specs
Upfront, there is an HD+ resolution IPS LCD display of size 6.22″ inch having a waterdrop notch on top. Besides, the screen has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio viewing experience alongside 79% screen to body ratio. Beneath the notch, there you have an 8MP selfie camera sensor capable of taking 1080p videos at 30fps. While at the rear, the phone gets a dual-camera setup accompanied by a LED flash alongside the fingerprint scanner. The dual-camera consists of a 16MP main camera sensor and a 2MP depth camera sensor.
Under the hood, there you have an octa-core processor of MediaTek Helio P22 SoC. Further, the processor combines 8X1.8GHz Cortex-A53 CPU cores fabricated in the 12nm processes. Besides, it couples with PowerVR GE8320 GPU, 4GB RAM, and 64GB onboard storage. Further, the storage expansion option is also available via a hybrid SIM-card tray up to 256GB. The system runs on stock Android 10 out of the box, while the system fueled by a 4000mAh battery. That supports the 10W fast charging mechanism onboard.
In terms of connectivity, the phone has 4G LTE and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, and other connectivity options including USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 5.0, Fingerprint scanner(rear-mounted), and others.
Price, Variant, and availability
The phone went on sale without having a formal announcement. It selling for RUB 8,760 (roughly ₹8,900) for the 4GB-64GB storage configuration. However, the phone comes in a single storage variant with having two color options to choose from Blue and Black. While the phone is available in the Russian market only and limited to the country as of now. In the global market, it could face tough competition against the Realme C11 and Realme C15, thus it limiting to a specific country.
