Realme C12 Alongside Realme C15 Launching in India on August 18
Earlier in the month of June 2020, the Realme had launched Realme C11 in the Indian market. The phone was not that disappointing but it lacks some key features like the fingerprint scanner and at least 3GB RAM. Since the “Realme C” series is the most affordable phones from the company, they are likely to keep improving the series. Through a press release, the company had announced the launch of two smartphones from the Realme C series on August 18. Earlier, we have reported that the Realme C15 is heading to India after its successful launch in the Indonesian market. Alongside the C15 the Realme C12 will be joining the series in India on August 18 launch event.
It will basically fill the gap between the Realme C11 and the Realme C15. The C12 has improvements over the Realme C11 while it is slightly a toned-down version of the Realme C15. The C15 and the C12 were made from the response of Realme C11 consumers in India. The launch will take place via an online event through Realme India social media handles like Facebook and YouTube. We have already introduced the Realme C15, now let me give you an introduction to the Realme C12 a new entry-level smartphone in India.
Realme C12 Features and Specs
Upfront, the device is built around an HD+ resolution IPS display of size 6.5″ inch alongside a waterdrop notch and speaker grill on top. Underneath the notch, there you have a 5MP selfie camera sensor capable of taking 1080p videos at 30fps. While at the rear side of the phone, we have a polycarbonate back panel sporting a square-shaped camera module of triple camera sensors and a fingerprint scanner beside the camera module. The camera module consists of a 13MP main camera sensor, a 2MP macro camera sensor, and a 2MP monochrome camera sensor.
Under the hood, we the same octa-core SoC used in the Realme C15 and the Realme C11. It is a MediaTek Helio G35 SoC, further, it combines 8X2.3GHz Cortex-A53 CPU cores fabricated in the 12nm process. Besides, it bundled with PowerVR GE8320 GPU alongside 3GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage. Further, it has memory expandable option via a microSD card up to 256GB. The system runs on RealmeUI on the top of Android 10. While the system is fueled by a massive 6000mAh battery alongside 10W fast charging and reverse charging mechanism.
As far as the connectivity is concerned, the phone is 4G LTE supported with Wi-Fi. The other connectivity includes MicroUSB, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5.0, Fingerprint scanner, and other sensors including GPS, Proximity, etc.
Price, variant, and availability
Before the phone launch in India, it is going on sale in the Indonesian market on August 16. The phone has one single variant option with a 3GB-32GB storage configuration. While it has two color options to choose from Marine Blue and Coral Red. The regular price of the phone is set at IDR 1,899,000 (around ₹9,600) in Indonesia. On August 16 the phone will be sold at a special discount IDR 1,749,000 (₹8,800). In India, it could be priced between ₹8,999 to ₹11,490.
