Redmi K30 Ultra China Exclusive: 120Hz Display, Dimensity 1000+ SoC
Earlier this week on the occasion of the 10th Aniversary of Xiaomi the company had launched the “Ultra” series exclusive to China. Under the ultra series, there are two phones right now in the market and already booming with its first sale today. Around 100,000 Redmi K30 Ultra units sold out in one minute before it goes out of stock. Because of its affordable nature and 5G support alongside top-notch features. Hence, the phone found to be a valuable deal in China. However, the company spokesperson had further clarified. That these phones Redmi K30 Ultra and Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra would not be available outside China. Not even available in some sort of rebranding versions of the series, its exclusive to China only.
Redmi K30 Ultra Features and Specs
Upfront, the device is built around an FHD+ AMOLED display of size 6.67″ inch. Besides, the screen is HDR10+ compliant with 500nits of peak brightness. Further, It has a 120Hz refresh rate and an optical fingerprint scanner underneath alongside the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. For the selfies, it has a pop-up camera module located on the top left of the phone. The pop-up mechanism camera module consists of a 20MP camera sensor. Which capable of taking 1080p videos at 30fps and 720p videos at 120fps.
While at the backside of the phone, we have a ring-shaped camera module of quad-camera sensors. And an LED flash below the camera module. The camera module consists of a 64MP primary camera sensor, a 13MP ultrawide camera sensor, a 5MP macro camera sensor, and a 2MP depth camera sensor. The camera module is capable of taking 4K videos at 30fps and 1080p videos up to 960fps with gyro-EIS enabled.
Under the hood, we have the latest MediaTek dimensity 1000+ SoC. The SoC combines 4×2.6 GHz Cortex-A77 & 4×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 CPU cores fabricated on the 7nm process. Besides, it bundled with Mali-G77 MC9 GPU and LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3 storage support. The system runs on MIUI 12 on the top of Android 10 out of the box. Further, the system fueled by a 4500mAh battery alongside a 33W fast charging mechanism onboard.
As far as the connectivity is concerned, the phone has 5G support alongside Wi-Fi 6. That is capable of 4.7Gbps peak downlink and 2.3Gbps uplink. The other connectivity includes USB Type-C connecter, Bluetooth 5.1, optical fingerprint scanner, and other necessary sensors including GPS, Gyro, Proximity, etc.
Price and variant
The phone is available in four variants 6GB-128GB, 8GB-128GB, 8GB-256GB, and 8GB-512GB storage configurations. The variant 6GB-128GB prise is set for CNY 1,999 (around ₹21,500) and CNY 2,199 (₹23,600), CNY 2,499 (₹26,900) and CNY (₹29,000) respectively. Alongside three color options to choose from Moonlight White, Midnight Black, Mint Green. Today was the first sale of the phone and it sold around 100,000 units in one minute.
