Vivo Y20 and Y20i Made their debut in India with Snapdragon 460
In the last week, the Vivo Y20 had bagged several certifications including the GeekBench. Where the phone had spotted with the Snapdragon 460 SoC. Now the phone made its debut here in India with same SoC, Vivo Y20 and the Y20i are the two new members of the Vivo Y series. The Y20 and the Y20i are identical to each other except storage configuration and the colour options. The Vivo Y20 offers 4GB RAM and 64GB storage while the Y20i is like a slightly toned-down version that offers 3GB RAM and 64GB storage. The Y20 will be available from August 28 while the Y20i will be available on or after September 3.
Vivo Y20 Features and Specs
Upfront, the device is built around an HD+ resolution IPS LCD display of size 6.51″ inch beside a dewdrop notch and the speaker grill on top. Further, the screen has a 20:9 aspect ratio viewing experience alongside 81.6% screen-to-body ratio. Underneath the notch, there you have an 8MP selfie camera sensor capable of taking 1080p videos at 30fps. Around the back, there you have an array of tripe camera sensors vertically aligned beside the LED flash. The sensors are a 13MP main sensor, 2MP macro sensor, 2MP depth sensor.
Under the hood, there we got Snapdragon 460 SoC. Further is combines 4XKyro 240 at 1.8GHz & 4XKyro 240 at 1.6GHz CPU cores fabricated in the 11nm process. Besides, it bundled with Adreno 610 GPU and 4GB RAM alongside 64GB onboard storage. Furthermore, you have the option of storage expansion via a microSD card. The system runs on Funtouch 10.5 built on the Android 10 while it fueled by a 5000mAh battery. That has 18W fast charging mechanism onboard.
In terms of connectivity, there you have 4G LTE and the dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. The other connectivity includes USB 2.0 connector, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5.0, Fingerprint scanner rear-mounted and the other necessary sensors including GPS, Proximity, etc.
Price and availability
Bothe the model will be available in India across Vivo stores as well as all online retails. The Y20 has one model in 4GB-64GB storage configuration while the Y20i has one model in a 3GB-64GB storage configuration. The Y20 has two colour options to choose from Obsidian Black and Dawn White. While the Y20i will be available in two colour options to choose from Dawn White and Nebula Blue. The Y20 model is priced at ₹12,990 while the Y20i model is priced at ₹11,490. The Y20 will be available for purchase from August 28 while for the Y20i model you have wait until September 3.
