Xiaomi Redmi 9 Prime to go on flash sale tomorrow starting from ₹9,999
A week ago Xiaomi had launched Redmi 9 Prime in the country. It is the fourth installment that had joined the Redmi 9 family, in the country India. The Redmi 9 family includes Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, Redmi Note 9 Pro, Redmi Note 9, and newly launched Xiaomi Redmi 9 Prime. In terms of specifications and features, the phone is being called all-rounder from the company. The device is the rebranded version of the Redmi 9 which is the global variant. That earlier in June had launched in Spain, this year. Indeed the device has a perfect balance between features and the price point.
Tomorrow, in India the phone will be going on a flash sale. The flash sale will take place at 12 noon on August 17 (local time) on Amazon India as well as on the Xiaomi India official website. Xiaomi Redmi 9 Prime Features and Specs
Upfront, the device is built around an FHD+ resolution IPS Display of size 6.53″ inch beside having a waterdrop notch and the speaker grill on top. Further, it has 19.5:9 aspect ratio viewing experience alongside 400nits of peak brightness. While protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. Underneath the notch, there you have an 8MP selfie camera sensor capable of taking 1080p videos at 30fps. At the rear side of the phone, you got an array of tripe camera sensors alongside the fingerprint scanner. Besides the camera array, we have another camera sensor accompanied by an LED flash. The quad-camera sensor consists of a 13MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, a 5MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor.
Under the hood, there you have MediaTek Helio G80 octa-core system. The SoC combines 2XCortex-A75 at 2GHz & 6XCortex-A55 at 1.8GHz CPU cores fabricated in the 12nm process. Besides, it bundled with Mali-G52 MC2 GPU and 4GB RAM. The phone runs on MIUI 11 on the top of Android 10 out of the box. Further, you could have an MIUI 12 software update in the near future. The system is fueled by a 5020mAh battery alongside 18W fast charging mechanism support onboard. The box includes a 10W charger you need to buy an 18W adapter to avail the facility.
In terms of connectivity, the phone has 4G LTE connectivity alongside dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. The other connectivity includes a USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5.0, Fingerprint scanner, and other necessary sensors including GPS, Proximity, etc.
Price, variant, and availability
The phone has two variants in 4GB-64GB and 4GB-128GB storage configurations. The base variant 4GB-64GB is priced at ₹9,999 while the top variant 4GB-128GB model priced at ₹11,999 in the flash sale. Apart from the storage variants, it has four color options to choose from Matt Black, Mint Green, Space Blue, and Sunrise Flare. The sale will kick off tomorrow at 12 noon on Amazon India as well as on the Mi India website.
